Guayama revisited
All photos were taken in summer 2007 in Guayama,
Puerto Rico by Lisa Ladner.

We bought ice cream and bottled water at the corner store and sat down on a park bench. The park - or rather the main square with its large trees - shined brilliantly in the summer sun. Then we strolled around town, gazed through gates and doors, touched the silver plated ornaments and felt like tripping back in time. Again I filled my camera's disk space and watched the battery go dead. That's okay. That's what always happens to me in Guayama. I'll have to come back anyway to my favorite town in Puerto Rico.

Dedicated to the people of Guayama who can priden themselves for having the cleanest main square on the island and who will hopefully always invest into keeping the old times - at least architectually - alive!
